There are only two of these guys available, so if you have been collecting the egglette's, get this one while you can. He is comical and so adorable - simply irresistible. The whole piece stands almost 11" tall and has the larger hand poured porcelain arm and legs as shown in the last photo. His tall hat is covered in pink polka dots and he sits on a black and white stripped painted box which the lid is lined with antique wall paper. Anywhere you place "Bumpy" in your home he is sure to make you smile.
These whimsical characters are certain to bring a smile. Egglettes© are wooden eggs with porcelain arms and legs, each having it's own personality. Each of these adorable little faces are hand painted by the artist. The molds used to produce the porcelain arms and legs are reproductions of original German antiques. Molds have to "rest" after being used in order to produce good ware. A set of molds can only be used about 50 times. Parts must dry, be soft fired, cleaned then fired again, sanded and painted and fired once more. An enormous amount of time and care goes into producing each Egglette, giving you a one of a kind heirloom to be passed down through generations.
All Paris Flea Market designs are finished on the bottom with antique book pages and are signed and dated by the artist.
